May 2012 - Pasadena, California
2000Charge® receives Level 1 PCI Compliance Certification
2000Charge, Inc., one of the oldest alternative payment solution providers in the industry, received its 2012 Level 1 PCI Compliance Certification, which is the highest level of data security protection achievable within the Payment Card Industry (PCI). Since 2006 the company has gone successfully through the rigorous process, and 2000Charge is the only all alternative payment solutions provider that has received the Level 1 certification.
The Payment Card Industry certification outlines the security requirements for transmitting, storing, accessing, or processing data, and is a mandated security initiative for members of the payment card industry including retailers, eCommerce companies, financial institutions, payment processors, POS vendors and any other organizations that must achieve compliance with the PCI Data Security Standards.
The PCI Data Security Standards include requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures, and the certification by 2000Charge guarantees that the data of their merchants and their clients is protected at the highest possible level.
2000Charge® – the Leader in Alternative Payment Solutions
The PCI Security Standards Council (www.pcisecuritystandards.org) was founded by American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and JCB International, Inc. and created common industry security requirements to which all merchants and service providers who handle credit card data MUST comply with.
